It's official now.  Senator Kerry as conceded, and President Bush will have another four years.  I'm glad that it's over; it's about time we heard something else in the news.

Kerry was going to be bad news for this country.  I may have said this before, but Jimmy Carter calling him his "shipmate" was the last straw, especially as I sat onboard NAVSTA San Diego while he said it.  I found myself middle-fingering the television time and time again during the DNC.  This is not because of his politics.  This isn't even about his service in Vietnam.  That's still up in the air.

This is because of his betrayal of my shipmates and brothers in arms after Vietnam.  If Jimmy Carter's his "shipmate", I don't know what ship that is.

But emotions aside, let's analyze both of the candidates' policies.  I can analyze the President's.  While his domestic policy is decidedly liberal, his foreign policy is what we need.  John Kerry's?  Well...he's switched positions so many times, it's hard to tell.

But at least according to his anti-defense Senate record, there was nothing good about his policy.  And while he flipped on taxes, promising not to raise taxes on the middle class, every spending policy was an increase.  Frankly, there were two differences between the domestic policies of the Senator and the President: Kerry would spend more than Bush and would raise taxes on the top 2%.  Never mind that the top 10% pay two-thirds of all taxes.  Forced charity is no charity at all.  I find no moral difference between me stealing a rich man's goods and the IRS stealing a rich man's goods.

By the way, Robin Hood stole from the government, not from individuals.

If I recall correctly, Proposition 200 passed with 56% of the vote.  Don't expect much out of it, though.  Looking back on it, I still have questions over my NO vote.  But let me play devil's advocate for a moment and argue in favor of it, and start a good, clean, friendly debate.

The main opposition to 200 in my estimation was making it a class 2 misdemeanor for a public official not to report illegal immigrants applying for non-federally mandated public benefits.  This would basically mean welfare from the State of Arizona, not livesaving medical treatment.  Fooling the State into giving you money to which you are not entitled is a crime that can be summed up in one word: theft.  Furthermore, it is justified to charge a public official with failing to stop this with another charge: deriliction of duty.  Part of the job of any public official who is entrusted with the money of the people is to only distribute that money to those who have lawful entitlement to that money.

Don't expect too much out of it except some really angry people.  Immigration is a problem on the federal level, and this is one of the major failings of the Bush administration, not that Kerry would have done any better.  The solution to the immigration problem?  Well, there's enough homeless people around here to take every job held by an illegal immigrant, and it's labor regulations that give these jobs to illegal immigrants.  Why would a farm owner pay $5.15 to an American when he can pay $1.00 to a Mexican if he's not going to get caught?  Lose welfare, lose the minimum wage, and start enforcing laws.  Not only will the illegal immigration problem stop, but unemployment will drop like a stone, because businesses will hire Americans.  There wouldn't be any more incentive for illegal immigrants to come here.

Now it's really going to be interesting instead of annoying.  President Bush will now have to possibly nominate new cabinet members.  Sen. Zell Miller (D-GA) didn't run and his seat will now be in Republican hands.  It'll be very interesting to see what he may contribute to the administration.  I can see the Marine being Secretary of the Army or the Navy easily.  Maybe even Secretary of Defense if Donald Rumsfeld wants to quit.  Zell Miller is MY FAVORITE DEMOCRAT.

Also interesting will be Bush's replacement on the Republican ticket in four years.  VP Cheney will not run; his age and health won't let him.  But I'd vote for a Zell Miller or a Condoleezza Rice anyday.  I've joked before that a Rice-Coulter ticket would result in many suicides within liberal special interest groups, but there's interesting times ahead.

I suppose that means that anti-military insults against me will continue, too.  I got called a war criminal today.
